Privacy Policy

What personal information this website collects, and how it is handled.

Last updated September 2, 2026

01

Who operates this website

This website, vmakol.com, is operated by Vinit Makol, based in Toronto, Canada. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Vinit Makol as the operator of this website.

Questions about this policy, or about personal information held about you, can be sent to [email protected].

02

Scope

This policy covers vmakol.com only. It explains what happens to personal information when you visit this website, read an article, or contact us through it.

It does not cover the separate websites and services operated by the ventures described on this site, including Edge-Forex, Nuvogen and the Road To A Million Club. Those are separate properties with their own terms and privacy notices, and visiting them is subject to those notices rather than this one.

It also does not cover any account management, mentoring or membership relationship you may enter into. Those relationships are governed by the agreements you receive when entering them.

03

Information we collect

This website is built to collect as little as possible. There are only two ways information reaches us.

Information you send us. If you email us, call us, or submit the contact form on this website, we receive what you choose to send. Through the contact form that is your name, your email address and the content of your message. Through email or telephone it is whatever the message itself contains.

Technical information created by your visit. Like any web server, ours records the requests it receives. Those records can include your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, the referring address if one was sent, and information your browser reports about itself such as its type and operating system. These records exist so the site can be operated, kept secure and diagnosed when something breaks.

If the contact form is enabled, it also carries two anti spam measures that involve a small amount of processing. A hidden field is included that a person cannot see and does not complete; if it arrives completed, the submission is treated as automated and discarded. The form also records the moment it was displayed, so a submission that arrives impossibly quickly can be identified as automated. Finally, a short lived record derived from the connecting IP address is held in the server's memory to limit repeated submissions from the same source. That record is not written to disk, is not combined with anything else, and is discarded within one hour.

04

What this website does not do

It is easier to describe this website's privacy behaviour by what is absent. All of the following are statements about how the site is actually built, not aspirations.

  • It sets no cookies. No route on this website sends a cookie to your browser.
  • It uses no analytics, no advertising technology, no tracking pixels and no social media trackers.
  • It loads no third party scripts. The site's own security policy blocks script from any origin other than this one, so third party code cannot run here even by accident.
  • It loads no third party fonts. All fonts are served from this domain, so no font service receives a record of your visit.
  • Images published through the content management system are fetched by this website's own server and served again from this domain, so your browser does not connect to the content management system while reading an article.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
  • We do not build advertising profiles, and no decision affecting you is made about you automatically.
  • We do not use anything you send us for marketing unless you separately ask to receive it.

05

Storage in your browser

This website stores exactly one item in your browser, and it is not a cookie. When you choose a light or dark appearance, that choice is saved under the name vmakol-theme so the site does not change appearance on your next visit.

It holds only the word “light” or “dark”. It contains nothing that identifies you, it is never sent to our server or to anyone else, and it stays in that browser on that device. Returning the appearance setting to “match system” removes it, and clearing site data in your browser settings removes it as well.

06

How we use information

Information is used only for the following purposes.

  • To read, consider and reply to an enquiry you have sent, and to hold the resulting correspondence.
  • To operate this website, keep it available, and investigate faults.
  • To protect the website and its readers against abuse, automated submissions and attempts at unauthorised access.
  • To comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

08

Who information may be shared with

Personal information may be disclosed only as follows.

  • To the providers who host and support this website's infrastructure, who process information on our instructions and only as needed to provide that service.
  • To professional advisers, such as legal or accounting advisers, where they need it to advise us.
  • To a court, regulator, law enforcement body or other authority, where we are legally required to provide it or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

There is no other disclosure. In particular, there is no sale of personal information and no sharing for advertising.

09

International transfers

This website runs on hosted infrastructure, which may be located in a country other than the one you are in. Where personal information is transferred across a border, we take reasonable steps to see that it remains protected to a comparable standard, including by using providers that offer contractual protections for that purpose.

You can ask us where information relating to you is held by writing to [email protected].

10

How long information is kept

  • Correspondence is kept for as long as it takes to deal with the matter it concerns, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the matter is raised again.
  • Server records are kept for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes, and are then removed in the ordinary course.
  • The temporary anti spam record described above is discarded within one hour and is never written to disk.
  • Anything we are required by law to retain is kept for as long as that requirement lasts, and no longer.

You can ask for information about you to be deleted sooner. The Data Deletion page explains how.

11

Security

This website is served only over an encrypted connection. Access to the systems behind it is restricted to those who need it. The site loads no third party code, which removes a common route by which visitor information leaks from a website. Collecting as little as possible is itself a security measure: information that was never collected cannot be exposed.

No website can promise perfect security, and we do not. If a breach affecting personal information occurs and the law requires it to be reported, we will report it as required and tell those affected.

12

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to do any of the following.

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete information we no longer have a proper reason to keep.
  • Restrict how we use information, or object to a particular use.
  • Provide information in a portable form, where that right applies.
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave, without affecting anything done before it was withdrawn.

There is no fee, and you do not have to give a reason. Write to [email protected], or use the Data Deletion page for a deletion request. We aim to acknowledge a request when it arrives and to respond within thirty days. If a request is complex we will tell you and explain why more time is needed.

13

Children

This website discusses financial markets and is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and it is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to [email protected] and it will be deleted.

15

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if the website begins to do something it does not do today. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will make that clear rather than changing the text quietly.

16

Contact and complaints

Please raise any concern with us first, at [email protected], so that we have the chance to put it right.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to a data protection authority. In Canada that is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can complain to the supervisory authority for your country.
